Transjakarta Inaugurates Rest Facilities for its Drivers at Ragunan Bus Stop

PT Transport Jakarta (Transjakarta) and Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub), inaugurated a Rest Facility for Drivers at Ragunan Bus Stop, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta.

The provision of this facility is a form of consistency to improve quality to meet PT Transjakarta's safety, operational, and service standards.

PT Transjakarta President Director, M Yana Aditya said it was also part of the follow-up to the recommendation of the National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT) to PT Transjakarta. Where his party was asked to pay attention to providing a comfortable resting place for the driver.

He explained it aims to provide comfort for all drivers in Transjakarta corridors to rest after work and be refreshed while on. duty

He detailed it has about 10 people capacity and is also completed with seats, tables, air conditioning, lockers, mini pantry, dispensers, and other facilities such as toilets in the bus stop area.

"This can be a reference that transportation, there are also facilities for drivers so they can carry out their duties well," he said.

Dishub Vice Head, Chaidir explained the inauguration of this facility is the first time. The same facility would also be built in other locations spread across the Blok M, Pulogadung, Kalideres, Pinang Ranti, Ancol, Tanjung Priok, and Puri Beta bus stops.

He hoped that its inauguration could be a good start in improving services in Transjakarta, especially improvements in safety aspects according to recommendations from the KNKT.

He also advised that traffic safety and road transportation are a shared responsibility, especially Transjakarta, which provides services with its partner operators.

"We're also responsible for fostering and supervising to guarantee safety to the community," he stated.
